What are the minimum eligibility requirements for Express entry Canada?

Canadian Experience Class – CEC Requirements

Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an Express Entry immigration program for people who have Canadian work experience. It is often considered one of the easiest Express Entry programs because it has comparatively low CRS cutoffs. To be eligible for CEC, you must:

  • Gained a minimum of 1 year of skilled work experience inside Canada in the last 3 years before you apply
  • Scored a minimum CLB 5 in writing, reading, listening, and speaking in an approved official language proficiency test for NOC B jobs and CLB 7 for NOC 0 or A jobs.
  • Be admissible to Canada
  • Not intend on living in Quebec

Federal Skilled Worker – FSW Requirements

Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) is an Express Entry immigration program for people who have skilled Canadian or foreign work experience. It is extremely popular with individuals who are outside of Canada. To be eligible for FSW, you must:

  • Get a minimum of 67 points out of the 100-point FSW Selection Factor Point Grid. (Don’t worry out analyzer above calculate this score for you)
  • Gained a minimum of 1 year of continuous skilled Canadian or foreign work experience in the last 10 years before you apply
  • Scored a minimum CLB 7 in writing, reading, listening, and speaking in an approved official language proficiency test.
  • Had a minimum high school level education
  • Meet proof of funds requirements
  • Be admissible to Canada
  • Not intend on living in Quebec

Federal Skilled Trades – FST Requirements

Federal Skilled Trades (FST) is for people who have skilled trades experience (chefs, butchers, electricians, etc). To be eligible for FST, you must:

  • Gained a minimum of 2 years of skilled trades work experience in the last 5 years before you apply
  • You must have a valid job offer of 1 year or a certificate of qualification issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial or federal authority
  • Scored a minimum CLB 4 in reading and writing and CLB 5 in speaking and listening in an approved official language proficiency test.
  • Meet proof of funds requirements
  • Be admissible to Canada
  • Not intend on living in Quebec
